Imagenation Art & Activism Panel featuring MIDDLE OF NOWHERE

Working with Take Part, MIDDLE OF NOWHERE has made strides in changing the FCC's predetory phone rates in the prison system.  This Friday, Imagenation will host "Art & Activism: Using Art for Social Change" inspired by art's ability to effect change.

The event will be a lively evening of cocktails and discussion about art, its role in society and how it can be used as a tool for social change. This evening will include a sneak peak at scenes from the new Sundance award-winning film MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, directed by Ava DuVernay. Moderated by Moikgantsi Kgama of ImageNation, panelists include Ava DuVernay, Jamal Joseph - author of Panther Baby and former chair of Columbia University's Graduate Film Division, Image Activist Michaela angela Davis and a representative from the Center for Media Justice.
